Fox Valley Technical College, otherwise known as Fox Valley Tech or just FVTC, is the college I’m currently attending. I first enrolled in 2025 in the IT – Software Development program and am currently in my second year/third semester. Where I’m from, Fox is the go-to choice for many young adults fresh out of high school. It offers well over 200 programs, with a large variety of choices.
Among the programs offered are Agriculture, Horticulture & Natural Resources; Aviation; Business, Finance, Marketing & Legal Studies; and Culinary, Baking & Hospitality. There are also apprenticeship and training options, such as construction and cosmetology, with the latter even offering services to students. Fox is also very flexible with its schedules, allowing students to learn on campus, online, or through a hybrid combination of both. While the main campus is located in Appleton, there are locations in many hometowns, such as Clintonville, for added convenience. Although Fox’s tenure may be relatively short-lived, it allows students to transfer their credits to universities to continue their education toward a bachelor’s degree. In my case, I will be transferring to UW-Green Bay upon completion of my studies.
