One of my most recent projects is my Declaration project. Specifically, this project manages Student Declarations through an ASP.NET and Entity Framework application. My project connects to a SQL Server database containing information about student names, IDs, degrees, and programs. It is separated into multiple layers and uses Entity Framework Core for scaffolding. Tests are also included to verify functionality and ensure that the database is working properly.
Overall, this project is giving me a new perspective on how dynamic websites are developed. Rather than relying on basic HTML, I’m learning how to use more complex methods of software development. While that may sound more complicated than basic HTML—and perhaps it is—the result is a website with much greater functionality. Overall, ASP.NET and Entity Framework help create more powerful web applications that can handle data and databases much more effectively.
